We will create a new PayPal account for the Bottley’s account after the Christmas Ball. This way, we won't have to change the buttons that are already in use. Once the Christmas Ball is over, we'll set up the new PayPal account so it can have its own button for next year and transfer all funds over. This will allow it to be connected to the Bottley bank for the Christmas Foundation.

Summary

Church Website Redesign Progress
Larry and Corliss discussed the progress of a church website redesign project. Corliss shared feedback from a sub-team meeting and presented a visual deck outlining goals, objectives, and potential features like digitized church bulletins, high-quality imagery, and content from the church’s pastors. They agreed on including a content audit, modernizing the site’s visual elements, and incorporating snippets from church services and monthly messages from the pastors. Larry suggested scheduling content updates to avoid overwhelming the church staff.

Targeting Diverse Audiences in Ministry
Corliss and Larry discussed the challenges of reaching diverse age groups in ministry and the importance of targeting specific audiences while remaining inclusive. They agreed to focus on families and children, particularly during back-to-school time, while ensuring representation of all age groups in marketing materials. Corliss will ask the ministry about their target audience preferences and work on aligning the social media strategy accordingly.

Website Design and Content Strategy
Corliss and Larry discussed the design direction for a website, agreeing on a modern style with prominent content and a subtle background image or video. They decided to prioritize getting the website up and running before focusing on content creation and social media strategies. Larry offered to provide monthly analytics reports to track the website’s performance. They also discussed embedding videos on the website, with Larry explaining how to handle pastor-created content. The conversation concluded with plans to simultaneously work on content creation while the design is being developed.

Church Website Redesign Planning
Corliss and Larry discussed plans for updating the church website, including changes to navigation and layout. They agreed to prioritize tasks, create a project timeline, and keep the sub-team informed. Corliss shared ideas for featuring testimonials and photos of church activities, focusing on the church’s impact and ministry works. They also considered adding a page for personal testimonies of faith, but decided to emphasize the church’s actions and community impact instead.

Church Website Design Strategy
Corliss and Larry discussed website design options for a church, focusing on video and image content. They explored different layouts, including banners with moving images and videos, and considered the technical aspects of implementation. Larry advised on the importance of mobile responsiveness and data usage for visitors with slow connections. They agreed to create a video with a mix of still images and live footage, potentially featuring church activities or drone shots of the area. Larry also suggested using a smaller video in the header to balance functionality and aesthetics.

Website Design and Content Strategy
Larry and Corliss discussed the design and content strategy for a website project. They agreed that the first phase would focus on creating a consistent design for the homepage and secondary pages, using real content whenever possible. Larry emphasized the importance of having content to inform the design process. They decided that Corliss would provide an outline of desired content sections, and Larry would create design mockups for review. After the design is approved, they plan to tackle YouTube integration in a second phase. Larry expressed willingness to present the designs to the sub-team and answer any questions.

Website Project Timeline Discussion
Corliss and Larry discussed the timeline for a website project, with Corliss expressing a desire to complete the first and second phases by the end of September and the entire project by the end of the year. Larry explained his current workload and the constraints of his billing agreement, emphasizing that the project must be completed before the new year begins. They agreed to have another meeting to discuss billing details and for Larry to provide more specific timelines once the content is ready.

Ministry Website Training System Development
Corliss and Larry discussed the development of a training system for Corliss’s ministry website. Larry explained he was creating tutorial videos for clients to use, which would be accessible through a private login on his website. Corliss expressed enthusiasm for this system and planned to train at least two people to manage the website, potentially expanding to train a third party. Larry committed to providing a robust system that could be easily transferred and maintained by others, with regular updates to reflect any changes.

Ministry Vision and Task Management
Larry and Corliss discussed the challenges of balancing ministry work with practical tasks, highlighting the need for a clear understanding of vision without getting bogged down in lengthy sermons or non-essential activities. Larry emphasized the importance of focusing on accomplishing goals rather than getting sidetracked by unnecessary discussions, while Corliss shared her experience of managing both ministry and practical responsibilities, such as organizing events and managing sound equipment. They agreed on the necessity of distinguishing between visionary roles and execution roles to streamline progress, with Larry providing examples from his work with clients who often expect him to adopt a visionary role instead of focusing on implementation.

Website Content Self-Service System
Larry and Corliss discussed the development of a self-service system for website content updates, with Corliss agreeing to be the first person trained to make these updates. They clarified that while Larry would handle system updates and customization, content updates like announcements and bios would be managed by ministry staff. They decided to keep Pastor Wayne and Pastor Cynthia’s bios separate with individual photos, but agreed to add a brief joint bio section underneath to highlight their marriage. Larry requested links to two ministry websites for reference, which Corliss agreed to provide.

Website Design for Transform Through Hope
Larry and Corliss discussed the design of a website for Transform Through Hope. They agreed to use a modern, anchored page layout with high-quality photos, including some stock photos and AI-generated images. Corliss will provide content and photos, while Larry will handle the design. They also discussed the contact page, which routes emails to a Yahoo address, and the need to clarify the email strategy. They plan to meet again on the 30th to review progress.

Website Content and System Planning
Larry and Corliss discussed the timeline for content delivery and system development for a website project. Corliss agreed to provide content within two weeks, after which Larry will review it and potentially request a meeting. They aligned on building the system to accommodate future phases, including YouTube content and weekly announcements, while focusing on the current phase of content development. Larry emphasized the importance of setting up the system to support various content frequencies, and Corliss confirmed she would handle the YouTube content and announcements.

a basic mock page has been created to illustrate how the updated website will flow. It is intentionally minimal and serves strictly as a structural and layout demonstration.
To clarify:
All text, dates, and images are placeholder/sample content (not final). Sample only.
The page lives inside the actual website, but there is no visible navigation link to it.
It is not accessible to the general public or casual website visitors. Anyone who needs to view it will require the direct link provided below.

Website Update Zoom Meeting – Corliss & Efarley
The following notes summarize key topics discussed during a Zoom meeting held between Corliss and Efarley regarding updates to the church website and related digital strategies.

Church Website Modernization Plan
A discussion was held regarding updates to the church website, with a focus on modernizing its appearance and enhancing overall functionality. It was noted that the site had not been updated in over two years and requires compliance improvements related to privacy practices. A phased project plan was proposed to address both immediate needs and future enhancements—such as implementing a digital calendar for announcements and introducing a more engaging layout. The conversation concluded with agreement to prioritize key elements and evaluate tools that could enhance the site’s interactivity without placing an additional burden on ministry staff.

Church Bulletin Digital Transition Plan
The team explored transitioning the church bulletin from a printed to a digital format. Key benefits identified included greater accessibility, ease of updates, and cost savings. A phased approach was outlined, beginning with maintenance tasks and the design of a refreshed front page. It was confirmed that the current website is mobile-responsive and that existing functionalities perform well across both desktop and mobile platforms. The goal is to simplify bulletin management for church staff while ensuring the bulletin remains visually appealing and easy to navigate.

Church Website Visual Enhancement Plan
Efforts to enhance the website’s visual impact were also discussed. Design ideas included the integration of high-quality imagery and video to better reflect the church’s activities and community involvement. Special focus areas identified included the food ministry, worship services, and outdoor events. Emphasis was placed on using clear, high-definition visuals to portray the church’s work with authenticity. The team agreed on the importance of sourcing recent content directly from the church community to keep the site current and visually compelling.

Church Content Recording Strategy
A potential strategy was considered for capturing and sharing video content from church services and activities. The discussion included the creation of a YouTube channel to archive messages and support digital ministry outreach. Technical considerations around recording and live streaming were reviewed, including embedding streams directly on the church’s website. As a starting point, the plan is to begin with pre-recorded content to build familiarity with the process. These recordings could later be repurposed for promotional use and community engagement.

Church Website Redesign Discussion
Attention was given to rethinking the site’s structural layout. A shift from a traditional navigation model to an anchor-page format was proposed, allowing key content to be presented more cohesively on a single scrolling page. The announcements and service tabs would be consolidated into either the main body or footer, and a new ministry page would highlight various departments. Efarley explained that department leaders could eventually manage their own content sections through an administrative interface, although that feature is not yet in use. Additional plans include updating the privacy policy and incorporating a footer with essential links such as giving, contact, and ministry information. A content audit was recommended, especially for static pages like the About section.

Website Design Modernization Discussion
Design updates were reviewed with attention to preserving the client’s brand identity while modernizing visual elements. The current blue and gold color scheme will be refreshed, with sample anchor-page layouts to be developed as mockups.

Project Review Meeting Scheduling
A project review meeting was scheduled for August 30th from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Pacific Time. The purpose of this meeting is to review progress notes, address next steps, and ensure continued momentum on the initiative.
